MONTHLY SPREADS:

QUESTION ON SURVEY: Do you use the Notes Columns in the monthly section? (I rarely do)

Not making a change to the layout for this round of Teacher planners - Will poll Standard Planner users in the spring - just looking to get a sense if this is the most useful layout for the majority of users.

LAYOUT REVIEW (no changes to this section)
12 Consecutive Monthly Spreads (July 2025 through June 2026)
Positioned in a monthly section at the front of the planner.

Regarding requests that we go back to staggering the months throughout the planner:
Sorry to disappoint!
A few iterations ago, we experimented with spreading the months throughout the planner, but struggled with placement clunkiness.
The staggered months interrupt the flow of weeks, sometimes falling within the first or last week of a different month based on which day of the week the 1st occurs.
One more reason for grouping all 12 months at the front - aside from the fact that it maintains an uninterrupted weekly flow, is that this placement facilitates the “cutting corners” system of snipping the top right monthly corners (to match the perfed bottom right weekly corners).

We’re hooked on the usefulness and ease of toggling between week and month views given the cut corners hack:

WEEKLY SPREADS:

In order to streamline design + production costs, the left hand page of the weekly spreads will now be consistent between the Teacher and Standard versions.

Going forward, Monday through Sunday will be positioned on the left hand page (shown left).
*in prior Teacher Planners, Sunday (somewhat awkwardly) sat alone at the bottom of the right hand page.

Awkwardness (or not, depending on your view) aside - having one weekly layout for the Standard Planner, and a separate layout for the Teacher Planners, results in our creating, maintaining, and proofing two entirely different sets of planners every year.
Consistency between the two (Teacher + Standard) means we can reuse 6 months worth of (left page) weekly layouts for every planner iteration (1/2 of the planner continually overlapping between Teacher + Standard versions).
Right hand pages will remain as 3 columns for the Teacher Planners, and a full column-free Notes Page for the Standard Planner.
We apologize if this switch back to the original Teacher Planner format is an inconvenience or a deal-killer for any of our customers! For anyone in that camp, one hack we respectfully/humbly want to put out there is to manually write SUN on the bottom of the right page - and continue to use that space for your weekend notes/plans.
*Personally speaking, I create boxes/sections/columns on my right hand page every week, and appreciate the flexibility to DIY that space.

MONDAY START:

For anyone frustrated by this - we apologize.
Our Monday-Start logic is rooted in maintaining consistency throughout the planner:
Our weekly layout begins with Monday at the top - in order for the shared space at the bottom to be occupied by Saturday + Sunday: universally referred to as “the weekend” regardless of which day one begins their work-week.
It is set up for viewing the two weekend days (and weekend plans) together in a block. It’s a visual preference for planning a weekend of CAMPING over a weekend of CAMP
ING
This distinction of seeing Sat/Sun together also brings into visual focus the ratio of work-life, to weekend-life - giving our eyeballs a moment to ponder that balance.
We recognize there are people who begin their weeks on Sunday, and others whose weekend plans need as much or more space than their weekdays.
For anyone in those camps (or any other camps) we wish we could be nimble enough to design/print smaller quantities of a variety of layouts and sizes, but the truth is we are just hanging in there with the one design at the moment - it will take time and a more abundant customer base before we can consider alternatives.

We ALWAYS welcome suggestions - if there is a better way to lay things out - we definitely want the chance to tinker with it - please reach out anytime.
